Unlike Paint on Canvas

Unlike paint on canvas,
words on paper
somehow don’t cause me problems
when it comes to editing.

My painting is done when it’s done.
When the paint dries it only has to
work for me.

My words are never done until they
do the work they were intended to do:
communicate.

So, my skin is never thin for making my writing better.
